The diagnoses and
treatment of childhood language disorders is the premier charitable endeavor of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of
Freemasonry for the Southern Jurisdiction. Research has shown that there are more children who suffer from some type of communications
difficulty than from all other childhood diseases combined! With more than 200 clinics, reading centers and programs nationwide,
the Scottish Rite is the largest private sponsor of communications therapy programs in the United States. The Tulsa RiteCare Childhood Language Clinic provides professional diagnosis and therapy programs for children between
the ages of 1½ and 11 years of age who suffer from a communications disorder. The Tulsa Clinic, established in 1977,
serves the children of Northeast Oklahoma who suffer from some type of communications difficulty, and has treated almost 3,000
clients since its inception. The Tulsa Clinic employs a “Home Therapy”
model as a major part of its treatment program: the client’s family is involved in the therapy regimen.
This provides the client with reinforcement of the therapy between visits to the clinic, while allowing the Clinic to treat
more clients at any given time than a traditional program would allow. In
keeping with the admonition that charity is the distinguishing characteristic of Masons, all treatment services are at no
charge to the client family. You are encouraged to support this worthy endeavor.
Scottish Rite Masons help children communicate! If you wish to
learn more about the programs of the Tulsa RiteCare Childhood Language Clinic, contact the Clinic at (918) 622-7064 or by
